Roma Pass: a simple, effective pass for visiting Rome
The Roma pass allows you to visit Rome on a very economical budget. It’s the cheapest City Pass Rome for your visits to Italy’s capital. There are two versions of the Roma Pass: 48h or 72h. The Roma Pass 48h obviously lasts only 48 hours from activation, but also allows you to choose only one visit. The Roma Pass 72h, on the other hand, allows you to choose 2 visits and lasts 3 days.
Depending on the length of your stay in Rome: a weekend or 3 days, or the number of visits you wish to make: 1 or 2, you will choose the Roma Pass 48h or Roma Pass 72h.

How much does the Roma Pass cost? The price is different if you choose the Roma Pass 48h or the Roma Pass 72h, but it’s important to understand that the Roma Pass 72h offers an extra free visit.
Roma Pass: what it can do, what it can’t do
This Rome visit pass gives you unlimited use of public transport from the very first activation, for the duration of the pass: 48h or 72h. If you choose the 48h pass, you’ll be entitled to one free visit among those included (see below). If you choose the 72h pass, you’ll be entitled to two free visits from among those included (see below). For additional visits, you’ll receive a discount thanks to the Roma Pass.
Angel’s Tips
Please note that to visit the Colosseum (Roman Forum and Palatine) and the Borghese Gallery, reservations are required, even for holders of the Roma Pass 72/48 hours. We recommend that you book at least 10 days (20 days in high season) in advance. It is possible to book even if you have not yet collected your Roma Pass, always indicating the name of the Roma Pass holder:
- for the Colisée: online, at €2.00 per person on the Coopculture website,
- by telephone in Italian: +39 06 39 967 575, (€2.00 per person for the Colosseum)
- for the Borghese Gallery: online for €0 per person on the ticketone.it website
- free of charge, on the day of your visit at the Roman Forum/Palatine ticket office, with the almost certain risk of running out of places.
